Mental health is taken seriously in the Netherlands. The huisarts can refer you to psychological help (GGZ). There are different levels: POH-GGZ (mental health nurse at huisarts), basis GGZ (basic mental healthcare), and specialized GGZ. Crisis lines are available 24/7 for emergencies.
