This page covers A2 language exams and knowledge exams. B1 and B2 Nt2 results follow the Staatsexamen Nt2 result process and schedule, so use the Nt2 pages if you took Programma I or Programma II.

What your result means
| Result situation | Meaning | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Passed one part | That part is complete, but you still need any other required parts. | Save the result and keep working through your remaining exams. |
| Did not pass one part | That skill or knowledge part needs more preparation. | Review the format, practice focused tasks, and rebook only when ready. |
| Passed all required exams | You can move to the diploma step. | Open the Diploma area through Mijn Inburgering. |
| Z-route | DUO says the Z-route gives a certificate instead of a diploma. | Your municipality provides the certificate. |
Digital diploma
DUO says the integration diploma is available digitally in Mijn diploma's. In Mijn Inburgering, choose Diploma; you are taken to Mijn diploma's, where you can download the digital diploma.
Diploma and copy options
| Option | What DUO says | Important caution |
|---|---|---|
| Digital integration diploma | Available through Mijn diploma's via Mijn Inburgering. | You can download it again for free. |
| Paper integration diploma | Provided for free once after you request it; sending can take up to 8 weeks. | Use the paper request only when you really need paper. |
| Certified copy | The digital diploma has the same value as a certified copy. | DUO says this applies when the digital diploma is used digitally; a print is not valid. |
| Lost paper diploma | DUO explains duplicate rules on the diploma page. | Check DUO before paying for a duplicate because fees can change. |
Diploma wording by route
| Route | DUO diploma note | Why learners care |
|---|---|---|
| 2021 Act | DUO says the diploma states whether you took the exam at A2, B1, or B2. | Useful if a school, employer, or naturalisation step asks about level. |
| 2013 Act | DUO says the diploma does not state the language level and is always an A2 level diploma. | Do not assume the diploma wording is the same as under the 2021 Act. |
| Z-route | DUO says you receive a certificate instead of a diploma. | Contact your municipality for certificate questions. |
About practice scores
Dutch Exams percentages help you decide what to practice next. They are not official DUO results and cannot predict the exact official decision.
What to do while waiting
- Save your exam date and part in your own notes.
- Check Mijn Inburgering regularly.
- Keep practicing any exam parts you have not passed yet.
- Do not treat Dutch Exams percentages as an official result.
- Use official DUO pages for diploma and copy questions.
If you did not pass
Use the result as a signal for what to practice next. Start with the failed part, review the official task format, take focused practice, and only book another attempt when your recent practice is stable.
